Research Interests
Their research interests tend to lie in American politics, methodologies within the social sciences, and socio-economic inequality -- though they have found themselves particularly interested in political communication and the role of rhetoric in American politics as of late.
Biography, Education and Training

Hugo Galindo is a first-year Ph.D. student studying with the Politics department at UCSC. Their work largely seeks to connect the quantitative and qualitative realms of the subfield to create a fuller picture of America’s contemporary political economy. Experienced with research driven by quantitative methods, Hugo looks forward to broadening their methodological horizons and producing innovative research regarding the evolving nature of American socio-economic inequality.
